i think this is one of the most sensitive issues of our times. it concerns children, and as such, we should be really careful. these children repose their trust in us, and in turn, they are paid back by being made labourers, breadwinners and pack horses. this is true the world over, but especially in Africa. Children can be seen on the streets, hawking, at construction sites lifting concrete and other heavy duty equipment and all these, during school hours. Most governments pay lip service to this problem, but has never bothered about finding a lasting solution. These children lose their childhood, which should be the best time of their lives, filled with love, laughter and totally free from worries, rather they are encumbered with the problem of the world on their young shoulders.
I believe child labour is one of the most heinous crimes against humanity, so, we should put heads together and find a lasting solution.
